No Apology from Law360 over Non-Competes

The New York Attorney General’s Office said on Wednesday that it has reached a settlement with Law360 over its use of non-compete agreements that will result in the legal news site no longer requiring its editorial employees to sign them.

That is, with exception for a small number of top executives, Eric Schneiderman’s office said in a statement.

In addition, the office said that all current employees, as well as former employees who left within the last year, will be alerted that their outstanding non-compete agreement is no longer in effect.
