“The outcome of the referendum is only advisory and it has no legal effect,” said Scott Edelman, chairman of Milbank, who added it would take months before anything formal happened.

Edelman said lawyers from his London office drafted an email identifying key concerns about potential changes to trade agreements, interruption of deals and other issues related to Britain’s exit from the European Union. But since there’s little clarity around any of these changes, the day proceeded much like any other.
