Over the past five years, O’Melveny & Myers’ Apalla Chopra noticed a distinct shift in her practice: a longtime adviser to academic institutions, her work advising colleges around how to handle sexual assault and rape claims has risen from a low single-digit fraction to a large majority of her practice, she said.
