A Big Law partner in Atlanta who accidentally shot and killed his wife is charged with involuntary manslaughter and reckless conduct, Atlanta police said today.
Police have been investigating Claud “Tex” McIver — a partner at Fisher & Phillips and 40-year veteran of labor and employment law — since Diane McIver’s death in the early morning of Sept. 26. Tex McIver had told police he was holding a gun in his lap in the rear passenger seat of a vehicle, when the gun accidentally fired through the seat in front of him where his wife was sitting.
