Lawyers seeking to force the government to hold a Parliamentary vote on whether to leave the European Union told a group of three senior judges that the lawsuit over Brexit is of fundamental constitutional importance.
David Pannick, who represents citizens pushing for Parliamentary oversight of Brexit, said Prime Minister Theresa May’s decision to trigger Art. 50 and negotiations to leave the EU without a vote was a reckless political move that trampled upon centuries of legal precedent.
