Citi Law Firm Chair: Reed Smith Layoffs Won’t Be an Outlier

Law firm managing partners are feeling... not that great.

That’s according to a quarterly report from Citi Private Bank that measures the morale of law firm managing partners on a quarterly basis.

Based on a survey of 62 law firm managing partners, confidence among law firm leaders in the overall economy dipped to levels Citi hasn’t seen since 2012.

A little about the methodology: Citi asks the managing partners to grade on a 200-point scale how they are feeling about a number of topics, including the economy at large, hiring, expenses and revenue. A grade above 100 is positive, while ...
