Cleary Gottlieb Elects New Leader

Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP announced on Monday that it has elected a new leader.

Corporate lawyer Michael Gerstenzang has been elected managing partner, effective Jan. 1, the firm said. He will succeed Mark Leddy , an antitrust lawyer who served in the managing partner role since 2011.

Gerstenzang, based in New York, has a practice of organizing and advising private investment funds, including private equity funds, credit funds and venture capital funds. His clients have included Blackstone, KKR and TPG.
