Cooley Hires Stroock & Stroock Private Equity Chair in L.A.

Cooley LLP has hired the national chair of Stroock & Stroock & Lavan’s private equity practice group.

Ray LaSoya, who joined Stroock & Stroock in August 2011, has worked on a variety of transaction types and advises clients on public disclosure, reporting and governance. He will work for Cooley in Los Angeles.

“Advising on PE and M&A transactions is my bread and butter, and I’m looking forward to pairing my experience with the renowned Cooley brand,” LaSoya wrote in a statement on Monday.
