Cooley Hires Three Private Equity Partners From Trio of Firms

Cooley has hired three private equity partners, all from different law firms, all in different offices: New York, Palo Alto and London.

In New York, Ron Hopkinson joins from Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft, where he was head of the firm’s private equity practice, while Eric Schwartzman joins in Palo Alto from Weil Gotshal & Manges.

In London, Stephen Rosen joins from Olswang, where he was head of the private equity and venture capital group, the firm said in a statement.

Mike Lincoln, the chair of Cooley’s business department, called the hires “a defining moment for Cooley.”
