Data Breaches Most Common in Healthcare Industry, Survey Says

The Association of Corporate Counsel released a report Wednesday — the organization’s first — on cybersecurity based on the views of more than 1,000 in-house lawyers in 30 countries.

According to the report, conducted and compiled by the ACC’s non-profit foundation between August and October, nearly one-third of in-house counsel have faced a data breach at their companies. That percentage increases with the size of the company — for instance, 45 percent of counsel at companies with 5,000 or more employees have faced a breach.
