Despite Tanking Economy, Paul Hastings Is Betting on Brazil

Paul Hastings announced on Tuesday it has hired Roberta Bassegio, a Brazilian lawyer specializing in energy and infrastructure project development, to head its new office in São Paulo.

The firm originally announced plans to open the São Paulo office, its first in Brazil, in March. The office opening has been delayed while the firm waits on final regulatory approval from the Brazilian government.
