Dewey Jury Watch: Cornell Law’s Expert Weighs In

As the jury in the Dewey & LeBeouf criminal trial resumes its deliberations — having returned a partial verdict of not guilty on some criminal counts — prosecutors, defense attorneys and frankly anyone following the case will undoubtedly resume the tea leaf reading process.

One question is whether the jury will be able to reach a decision and if a new trial will need to be scheduled. Just one day earlier, the jury sent a note to the judge saying ,“We the jury can’t come to a unanimous decision on the majority of the counts on the verdict sheet.”
