Eleven Lawyers Depart Arent Fox to Start Litigation Boutique

Eleven lawyers have jumped ship from Arent Fox to start a litigation boutique in Los Angeles, the firm is set to announce on Tuesday.

Called Larson O’Brien, the firm will focus on high stakes matters, including commercial litigation, internal investigations, appellate work and international arbitration, according to co-managing partner Robert O’Brien.

It marks the latest group of lawyers who have parted ways with a big law firm to pursue business opportunities in a smaller firm setting, in which there are fewer possibilities of client conflicts and more flexibility to offer alternative fee arrangements.
