Ex-Fox Rothschild Partner Gets Below-Guidelines’ Sentence

A former Fox Rothschild partner in Philadelphia was sentenced to six months in prison on Friday for his conviction on insider trading related charges.

Herbert Sudfeld, Jr., 64, of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, received no fine, but three years of supervised release during which he must perform 50 hours of community service per year, according to Michele Mucellin, acting public affairs officer for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Philadelphia.

“I think it was a very, very fair sentence,” said Sudfeld’s attorney Bob Welsh, of Welsh & Recker.
