Google’s Driverless Car Project Has a New Head Lawyer

As the world awaits more details on the fatal crash in Florida of a Tesla car on “autopilot,” Google has hired a general counsel to oversee its self-driving car project.

Kevin Vosen is the project’s first general counsel. Previously he had been chief legal officer at The Climate Corporation, which makes weather monitoring applications for farmers. According to his profile on the company’s website , Vosen is a graduate of Harvard Law School and an alum of O’Melveny & Myers.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Vosen previously helped secure investment in the Climate Corporation by Google Ventures as the company’s GC. The Climate Corporation was acquired by Monsanto ...
