Hogan Lovells CEO: Five Years Old, One Firm Approach

Last week marked a special occasion for the 2,400-lawyer Hogan Lovells. Friday was the firm’s fifth anniversary – five years since Lovells of London and Washington’s Hogan & Hartson merged to create what is today the world’s 12th largest law firm by revenue.

A lot has changed. For one thing, Hogan Lovells has consolidated its leadership, appointing one single CEO to guide the firm instead of two. And it has assigned about 75 percent of its lawyers to practice in six distinct industry groups, dedicated to reading up on clients’ legal needs in each area: life sciences, energy, financial services, insurance, ...
