The number of women attorneys supporting the abortion provider that challenged Texas abortion regulations at the U.S. Supreme Court — and won — vastly outnumbered female attorneys on the other side.
In the case, the Supreme Court on June 27 struck down parts of a Texas law regulating abortions, which it held unduly burden a woman’s constitutional right to abortion inWhole Woman’s Health v. Hellerstedt, No. 15–274.
Bloomberg BNA analysed the roughly 80 briefs, including amicus briefs, filed by both sides in the case.
