Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said she regrets recent statements she made about presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
In a series of recent press interviews, Ginsburg was critical of Trump, calling him a “faker.”
The comments created a firestorm, resulting in Trump calling for her resignation.
“On reflection, my recent remarks in response to press inquiries were ill-advised and I regret making them,” Ginsburg said in a statement sent to Bloomberg BNA today.
“Judges should avoid commenting on a candidate for public office. In the future I will be more circumspect.”
