Kaye Scholer and Arnold & Porter Talks Heat Up

Sources in the legal market have been chattering this year about tie-up discussions between two large U.S. law firms: Washington-based Arnold & Porter and Kaye Scholer of New York.

Is a deal about to finally get done?

On Wednesday, we received a tip that a combination between the two firms is expected to be announced as early as tomorrow, according to a source close to the talks.

Two other sources said that discussions have been heating up in recent weeks. One person who was briefed on the talks yesterday said “it’s probably going to happen.”
