Law Firms in Brussels “Soldiering On” After Bombings

As multiple terror attacks rocked Brussels on Tuesday morning, with bombs exploding in the airport and train station and dozens killed, activities in the city ground to a halt amid renewed fears of an organized, large-scale terror threat in Europe.

Mark Powell, executive partner in the Brussels office of White & Case, said his secretary,Gabrielle Barnett, was on the metro train that was attacked. Because Barnett was in the last car, she was able to crawl out of a window unhurt, Powell said.
