McGuireWoods Hires Two Reed Smith Partners, Launches in SF

McGuireWoods is set to announce on Wednesday that it has hired two financial services litigation partners from Reed Smith — one in Pittsburgh, and another in San Francisco, where the 1,000-lawyer firm will launch its 22nd office worldwide.

Joining McGuire from Reed Smith are partners David Powell, who will serve as managing partner of the San Francisco office, and Mary Hackett, the former chief litigation officer of PNC Financial Services Group.

Both have advised Bank of America as a client in a number of foreclosure and other cases at Reed Smith, according to a docket search on Bloomberg Law .
