Merck general counsel Michael Holston has practiced in the U.S. Attorney’s office, been a partner in two major law firms, and is now in his second stint as GC of a Fortune 100 company.
But he’s not sure any of it would’ve happened if people hadn’t taken chances on him — and given him opportunities which his experience levels might’ve suggested he wasn’t ready for — early in his career.
