Microsoft Debuts Matter Center for Office 365

Microsoft Corp. said on Monday that it soon will begin offering legal software so that attorneys can more easily organize and collaborate on documents within Office 365.

Matter Center, an add-in for Office 365 developed for Microsoft’s legal and corporate affairs division, allows users to access legal matters from Outlook, and it ties Word, Excel, OneNote and other files to those matters, Microsoft said in a blog post .

Partners including Epona, Handshake Software, LawPoint365, Perficient, Ubiquity Wave, Project Leadership Associates and the PayneGroup will begin offering the product broadly in the coming weeks, the company said.
