New Anti-LGBT Law Causes Stir in Legal Community

On Tuesday, Mississippi’s governorsigned a law that allows religious groups and some private businesses to refuse service to LGBT people based on religious beliefs.

The result has caused an outcry from politicians, lawyers and the general public.

Here is the reaction from Brad Smith, president and chief legal officer of Microsoft Corporation, via Twitter ( @BradSmi ):

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo ( @NYGovCuomo ), meanwhile, issued a ban on any state-funded “non-essential travel” to Mississippi.
