NJ Lawmakers Want ‘Bridgegate’ Legal Fees Cut by One-Fourth

This week, a pair of state lawmakers demanded Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and digital forensics firm Stroz Friedberg repay $2.8 million in legal fees they said were improperly charged to New Jersey for legal services provided in the Bridgegate investigation.

Assembly Deputy Speaker John S. Wisniewski (D) and Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg (D) asked the state Attorney General’s office to recoup $545,783 in legal fees from GDC, and $2.3 million in e-Discovery charges from Stroz for violating state transparency guidelines for outside counsel.
