Pace University Renames Law School After Environmentalist

In the latest example of a law school renaming itself at a donor’s request, Pace University announced Thursday that its law school has adopted the name of a late environmental philanthropist in light of a donation from her family.

Pace Law School, with its campus in White Plains, New York, henceforth will be known as the Elisabeth Haub School of Law, it said in a media release.

Elisabeth Haub, who died in 1977, was a German entrepreneur and environmentalist and her family members have continued her work through foundations dedicated to supporting advocacy around sustainability, environmental law and policy.
