Returning From Maternity Leave ... As Managing Partner

When Pillsbury partner Kim Buffington went on maternity leave at the beginning of last summer, she didn’t know she’d be returning to her Los Angeles office as its managing partner. After her son was born in May, she took a few months to transition her caseload and to tie up a few loose ends, but then she mostly disconnected.
