SEC Appoints New Chief of Market Intelligence

The Securities and Exchange Commission announced Thursday that it has named Jennifer Diamantis as its new chief of the Office of Market Intelligence, a unit within the enforcement division that handles tips and complaints from the public.

Diamantis has been serving as acting chief since Vincente L. Martinez, now at K&L Gates, departed this past summer.

The Office of Market Intelligence is a specialized unit within the SEC’s enforcement division that focuses on analyzing non-compliance tips, complaints and referrals the agency receives and getting legitimate enforcement-case leads to the right SEC personnel.
