SEC Chairman Jay Clayton tapped Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP, Sullivan & Cromwell LLP and commission lawyers for general counsel and other senior agency posts.
New York lawyer Robert Stebbins will serve as general counsel after practicing law at Willkie as a partner, the Securities and Exchange Commission announced May 15.
Sean Memon, who was most recently an associate at Sullivan & Cromwell, will work as Clayton’s deputy chief of staff, the agency said separately. Jaime Klima, co-chief of staff under then-acting Chairman Michael Piwowar, will be Clayton’s chief counsel, the commission also said.
