Senator Warner’s Banking Aide Joining Law Firm in Washington

The top banking aide to U.S. Senator Mark Warner is leaving Capitol Hill to join the Washington office of law firm Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, a person familiar with the matter said.

Milan Dalal, who has been the Virginia lawmaker’s financial policy counsel for more than four years, will advise financial services firms and other companies on policy and regulation, according to the person, who wasn’t authorized to speak publicly on the move. Warner is the top Democrat on the Senate Banking subcommittee that oversees regulators including the Securities and Exchange Commission.
