The Uptick in Legal Business Brightens the Job Market for Law Students

In a sure sign of optimism among law firms, the National Association of Law Placement reported Thursday that recruiting of entry-level lawyers has increased from 2013. Although recruiting was, according to NALP, “cautious,’' there continued to be an upward trend since the trough years of 2008 and 2009.

In general, law firms continue to bring in smaller summer classes than they did prior to the economic slowdown, though the average summer class size rose to its highest level since 2009.
