The World’s Largest Law Firm Has Been Created

Dentons announced on Tueday that it had formalized its tie-up with China’s Dacheng Law Offices to create the world’s largest law firm by headcount.

The combined firm, known as Dentons in English and all other languages besides Chinese, has approximately 6,600 lawyers in more than 50 countries, including the United States, China, Europe, the United Kingdom, Canada, the Middle East, Africa and the Asia Pacific.

In announcing the tie-up, Dentons laid out a fact sheet about the size of its staff:

• 6,900 lawyers and professionals

• 8,000 timekeepers

• 11,000 total members
