Tom Brady Can’t Get Rehearing Bid Across Goal Line

Tom Brady’s case challenging his “deflategate” suspension won’t be reheard by a federal appeals court.

Today’s order by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit—denying both a panel rehearing and rehearing en banc—means that Brady’s four-game suspension for using underinflated footballs in a 2015 playoff game will stand.

A three-judge panel reinstated the suspension April 25, after a district court originally ruled against the NFL.
