U.S. Legal Sector Loses 800 Jobs in June

The legal services sector shed 800 jobs in June, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The number of people employed in the legal industry nationwide fell from 1,122,200 people in May, to 1,121,400 in June, according to jobs figures reported earlier this month.

The total number of people employed in the legal sector accounts for lawyers and legal professionals who are on the payroll, including paralegals and secretaries.

The legal industry had about 7,500 jobs less this June than it did the year before, according to the bureau’s figures.
