Valentine’s Day Is Hard in Big Law

At McDermott Will & Emery, one Valentine’s Day not so long ago, a lawyer received a series of gifts every hour, on the hour, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., ending in a subpoena to have a romantic dinner date.

Although we couldn’t get a hold of the subpoena itself, the story comes straight from the chair of the firm, Ira Coleman, who wrote to us from his Miami, Florida office.
