Wake Up Call: Dewey Round Two Kicks Off in New York

• Two former executives of Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP went on trial for a second time yesterday on charges they lied to investors before the law firm went bust almost five years ago. Dewey’s onetime Executive Director Stephen DiCarmine and Joel Sanders, the firm’s former chief financial officer, face slimmed-down charges and penalties compared to their first trial, which ended in mistrial in 2015.
