Wake Up Call: Lawyers Set to Lose Millions in Wake of Collapse

• Some 70 lawyers from 66 law firms worldwide are set to lose millions because of the bankruptcy of King & Wood Mallesons’ Europe and Middle East operation. ( The Lawyer )

• Hogan Lovells confirmed that it has hired four Silicon Valley partners from Weil Gotshal: M&A partners Richard Climan, Keith Flaum and Jane Ross and IP and technology transactions partner John Brockland. The legal community has shown high interest in the move by lawyers who were considered among Dewey & LeBoeuf’s prized assets when they jumped that sinking ship in 2012 to join Weil. ( BLB )
