Wake Up Call: Uber Hires Holder to Review Sexual Harassment Claims

• Uber Technologies Inc. hired former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder to head an independent review into a former software engineer’s sexual harassment claims. Holder’s firm Covington & Burling LLP earlier led a probe of Airbnb Inc.'s handling of discrimination on its home-sharing platform. ( Bloomberg )

• Fueled by star lateral hires, Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison had a record year in 2016 for gross revenue, which surged 10.12 percent to $1.22 billion. Profits per partner galloped 7.1 percent for the 959-lawyer firm, to $4.38 million, and revenue per lawyer jumped 13.4 percent, to $1.27 million. ( Am Law Daily )
