Earlier this week we covered a change in the leadership ranks at the litigation firm McKool Smith: David Sochia, a Dallas litigator with clients such as AT&T, Inc. and Ericsson , is taking over as the managing principal.

We thought the transition would be a good opportunity to check in and see how the firm’s business is ebbing and flowing. In 2012, The Wall Street Journal reported that its patent litigation business faced headwinds.
