Will Dickstein Shapiro Meet Its Supposed Merger ‘Deadline’?

Almost two weeks ago, The National Law Journal reported that Dickstein Shapiro was in merger talks with numerous law firms.

After flirting with DLA Piper for a short while this summer, it looked like the Washington law firm, hobbled by a steady wave of partner departures, was gearing up to finally make the plunge.

Around the time that merger reports first surfaced earlier this month, three sources told Big Law Business that there was a Dec. 15 deadline by which firm leaders hoped to have a deal in place with another firm.
