Will New Drone Rules Pay Off for Law Firms?

For the past couple of years, law firms have been gearing up to advise clients on drones, an idea that initially seemed premature.

But on Monday, as the first major rules governing commercial drone use in the U.S. replaced an ad hoc system, the rush of law firms launching drone practice groups made more sense.

The gist of the new rules is that anyone 16 or older, who passes a written test and a background check, can fly a drone for commercial purposes, with some constraints: it has to be during the day, for example.
