Winston Elects Deflategate Litigator as Co-Chair

Fresh off his victory of representing New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in his successful challenge of a NFL imposed four-game suspension, Jeffrey Kessler has been elected co-chair of 800-lawyer Winston Strawn.

The decision by Winston’s 26-member executive committee to elect Kessler – who only joined the firm three years ago – as its co-chair, underscores how much the 162-year old Chicago-based firm is open to lateral growth. For nine years, the firm has been run under the leadership of a sole chairman, Dan Webb, the renowned trial attorney who once prosecuted retired admiral John Poindexter in the Iran-Contra affair. ...
