With Renewed Focus on Laterals, Morgan Lewis Chair Welcomes McDermott Partner

With more than 2,000 lawyers in 28 offices worldwide, Philadelphia-based law firm Morgan Lewis & Bockius has earned its place as the No. 12 top-grossing law firm in the country by acquiring two firms: the now-defunct Bingham McCutchen and Stamford Law Corporation of Singapore.

But Jami McKeon, chair of Morgan Lewis, stresses that her firm’s business strategy isn’t about size at all. “We never aspire to getting bigger,” said McKeon. “We are not looking to franchise or be every place.”
